Q&A: What to you feel of this kid’s suggestion to Obama on how to stimulate the economy?

Question by Mirack Obomney 2012 FK UR RIGHTS: What to you think of this kid’s suggestion to Obama on how to stimulate the economy?
Obama basically blew it off like it was naturally a stupid concept he would never take into account.

But according to Department of Agriculture statistics, marijuana is the United State’s greatest income crop by far.

What do you think?? Should Obama in fact take some suggestions back to the White House with him as a substitute of performing another campaign style truly feel excellent tour??

“I truly appreciate how you’re trying to stimulate the economy,” the student stated. “Possibly, if you checked out some of the statistics about legalizing prostitution, gambling, drugs and non-violent crime in order to stimulate some of the financial system.”

The audience broke into giggles.

“I value the boldness of your query. That will not be my jobs strategy,” Obama responded, to much more giggles. “Part of what you’re supposed to do in college is query typical wisdom. So you are undertaking exactly what you happen to be supposed to be undertaking.”

Stupid kid.

Gambling, drugs, crime, and prostitution result in more harm than benefit. It really is not really worth it.

That kid doesnt want to legalize mj for the economy, we wants it so he can be a legal stoner. He should be more honest.

If it is already the top cash crop then it is already a big contributor to the economy.

If marijuana is made legal, the price would drop and it would no longer be the biggest cash crop.

Obama has blown off legalization of marijuana before too.

While there are many negative affects to legalizing prostitution, drugs and gambling, there are many positive affects of decriminalizing them.

Gambling brings in a ton of taxes, and money saved on prosecuting drug users and johns would save billions. Also, taking these things away from criminals may reduce crime.

Although it is political suicide as when one story gets out about a cocaine fueled murder, it will all go to hell.

The kid is 100% correct and Obama is showing fear, pandering and a lack of social liberalism (again) by dismissing and demeaning the question.

  5. is it a bad idea? no…

    would Obama lose votes… yep

a lot of policitans probably though slavery was a bad idea before the 1870s… why didn’t anyone stop it before then?

    because it wasn’t a popular opinion…

what’s the point in changing the law, if you will just get voted out by the man who says he will change it back?

This whole “jobs summit” and road-show is nothing more than a staged campaign photo-op. Apparently, Obama didn’t get the memo that he isn’t running for president any more.

Obama has said he is open to all ideas, but as usual, he dismisses “conventional wisdom” like reducing the tax burden for businesses, reducing the tax stranglehold on high-end consumers, and yes, even legalizing victimless crimes that support economic activity and will continue to support his BS “stimulus” giveaways to his cronies and punitive taxes on the rich that neither increase jobs or increase government revenue and say that it is going to help the economy.

I think the kid is stupid and if i were obama i would have said just about the same.

    Thank you!

Pot should be legalized and taxed like tobbacco and alcohol. It is harder for kids to get alcohol and tobbacco products than it is for them to get pot.
If we legalized and regulated pot the same as these other two recreational drugs it would be harder for kids to get pot.
If your against legalization your for giving pot to kids.
