Question by James: What does the DEA strategy on undertaking about the recent legalization of Cannabis in Colorado and Washington?
Now that marijuana has become completely legal for recreational use in two states, does the DEA still program to enforce federal law, or are they going to make exceptions concerning these states and states in the future that take the identical steps? The DEA did not make exceptions for the most element for medicinal marijuana with frequent drug raids on facilities in compliance with all state laws, so I was questioning if they may possibly finish marijuana operations in Colorado and Washington.

It is still not legal under state laws to sell marijuana. DEA is looking at sellers, not users. Local law enforcement looks for users and here in Washington, many local prosecutors have said they are done prosecuting users unless they commit another crime, like driving. Technically, users could still be prosecuted for not paying the state taxes.
