Healthcare Marijuana Question. The State of Michigan passed the Medical Marijuana bill which went into effect April 2009. Doctors can prescribe healthcare marijuana but individuals have no in which to acquire it from which is a legal supply. They have to discover and buy it on their own. California has Health-related Marijuana Dispensaries where patients can acquire their marijuana. Even so, below Federal law this is even now illegal and several are being raided. Is there any way to open a legal healthcare marijuana dispensary in the State of Michigan and not go towards Federal laws? Is there a way around these Federal laws with probably a “medical” or “patient” override law?

Even however the dispensaries in California are illegal under Federal Law they are not illegal beneath state law and that is why they are permitted in California.
At one time, there was a large push to shut down individuals dispensaries, nevertheless, nowadays there are still above 200 of them in California up and running and the federal government has ceased attempting to shut them down due to the conflict in state/federal laws.
Hence, legalization is going to have to start at a regional/state level and operate its way upward from there.
