….would my illegal possession of marijuana charge count as a 2nd offense even if the two offenses are not associated??

Depends on how offenses as a minor are treated.
Count your offenses and you will get to 2 as in 2nd offense.
But if they erase or seal a minor’s offenses that would affect this.
