Do you feel Obama ought to legalize marijuana?
We spend billions of tax bucks each year to lock up folks who sell, distribute or smoke marijuana an all normal item that he himself has admitted smoking.
Thats if Congress mentions it….
Can he mention to congress that this bill ought to pass…
so please no responses of how Obama cant simply because he can only sign off on what congress offers him….

A president cannot make laws. Only Congress can make laws. Put down the bong and pick up a book.
No. I don’t. I’m also dubious of your numbers. “billions of tax dollars”? Whether marijuana is legal or not, you still need the same police systems to combat illegal drug sales and use.
I think it’s a good idea. People are just ignorant to believe what the government has feeding them since prohibition. Obama has, in fact, inhaled frequently. Michael Phelps the world champion just got caught up in it with the whole bong scandal. I think those two people right there are proof enough that it is not that bad. The president can have powerful influence on congress.
I think it would be OK as long as people didn’t drive on it.
The war on drugs, doesn’t work! were wasting millions of dollars for nothing. I think if you did legalize it, you would be taking the PROFFIT out of bring it in to the country.
Then the government could package it, tax it, and sell it in liquor store to people of legal age, All the money from the war on drugs could be spent in schools to educate the young children why not to use it.
Eventually the old pot smokers will die out and the kids wont want it any way, by the way when you take the fun out of it by making it legal
