Where is the burn? 20 inches, even a 1000 watt light must be lots distance. Without having seeing the plant, I can only suggest nute burn. If that is the situation, then completely flush the plant (three gals water per gallon of pot) and start from square a single. Cut any dead leaf structure — it will not grow and only invite pests — and then check out this website for nute harm — it actually could be a amount of nute concern, so the visuals must also support.

Good luck — normally modest nute problems do not pose an issue and usually only a severe nute problem will resualt in some of the plants turning hermie.
