Medical marijuana bill awaits governor’s signature

The Washington State Senate has passed a bill expanding who can authorize the usage of health-related marijuana. That bill now awaits Governor Gregoire’s signature to make it a law. KXLY4′s McKay Allen reports.
DENVER – The first attempt to regulate Colorado’s health-related marijuana industry has passed its first test at the Capitol. The Senate Wellness & Human Companies Committee voted six-one Wednesday to back a bill aimed at avoiding doctors from issuing health-related marijuana recommendations to recreational end users. Close to 150 folks packed the Old Supreme Court chamber at the Capitol Wednesday morning and nearly 60 testified during a hearing that lasted much more than four hrs. Study entire story here: bit.ly

Medical marijuana up 10 fold??….what an ignorant statement, most of these people have been using marijuana as medicine for years…..now that they can do so without fear, they are willing to step up and be counted and labeled by the media and other entities……the negative stigma of marijuana and the stereotype of users is so ingrained that it will take decades to erase. Now pass me a six pack of Budweiser so I can be accepted by society!!
