Question by : Marijuana & pregnancy?
hello,
i have a query about smoking weed while pregnant. I Am presently 27 weeks pregnant & i smoked weed on and off throughout my pregnancy. i officially quit when i was 25 weeks pregnant. will i & my infants method be clean by the time i give birth? i know that it will instantly be in the placenta, but im asking if will we test damaging or optimistic for thc. i informed my physician in the beginning of my pregnancy that i did smoke weed, but had quit. also if i test optimistic will cps be called on me? will they take my baby away if they are referred to as? i dwell in springfield, massachusettes
i dont require judgmental comments. that doesnt aid at all. so if your going to be a dick about it, dont reply my query. anyways.. i knew a girl who just gave birth delivered at the identical hospital i will be delivering at & she smoked every day her complete pregnancy til birth & her infant wasnt taken away. like i said i quit. i by no means smoked constantly it was occasional. like hear and there a month. i stoped smoking for 2 months then i smoked As soon as at 25 weeks, then stoped once more

You need to stop smoking now! I think there is a stong possibility you could have your child taken away from you, but you should be more concerned about the damaging effect smoking anything has on a fetus. if you want to be a parent, now is the time to stop thinking about yourself and focus on the needs of the baby.
p.s YOU DUMB AS F
I think it’s highly unlikely that your doctors are going to take the time and expense to have a placental sample sent to the lab. And I’m fairly certain that after 3+ mos. there will no longer be traces of THC present. You definitely should not be smoking cannabis from now until your baby is born, and if you are truly struggling with that addiction I would seek some help from a drug counselor. You may want to attend a “Narcotics Anonymous” meeting just to have the support of others in your struggle to stay clean. I’m sure there will be mothers there who have some stories to tell – and that might inspire you to avoid smoking hereafter. Pot addiction is not taken very seriously by most – but it is indeed an addiction and despite what you may read, ANY smoking is harmful to a developing fetus; so get some help and lay off the weed in the meantime. Good luck to you…[MA has a lot of midwives, I'm pretty sure; perhaps you could look into switching - it's not too late. Midwives would be more sympathetic to your needs and in fact, might be able to avoid testing altogether. Since you were open about your usage to your Dr. this would be in your medical records so you can't be dishonest about usage. But you still may not be subject to tests on your newborn; I don't think MA is a state that considers in utero drug use "child abuse." Find out.]
CPS will be called when the baby’s feces tests positive. Say bye-bye baby, selfish monster.
