Typically Toxic Black Mold is discovered in former marijuana develop operations. Toxic Black Mold, or Stachybotrys wants 4 points to develop and turn into a deadly toxin acknowledged as Black Mold: Wood and other forms of cellulose such as plant matter, water, heat, and air. Indoor marijuana cultivation provides all 4. Let’s face it, homes had been not designed to be greenhouses. Properties contain dry-wall and other natural substances which make them susceptible to mold development if exposed to water. Here’s the most crucial point though – if you are searching to purchase or rent a residence, you need to have to know regardless of whether it had formerly been utilized to develop marijuana. The dilemma is this- even if the marijuana is extended gone, the mold issue may very simply have been left behind. The large levels of moisture linked with expanding marijuana, along with the plentiful host components available to the mold in properties, produces an surroundings in which the mold can flourish even extended soon after the marijuana is gone. DO NOT USE THE SAFER BRAND for POWERDY MILDEW. Theres a product called SNS 244 that is FAR SUPERIOR. The safer PM killer uses SULFUR as its active ingredient and will make your buds taste like BURNT MATCHES. I have payed dearly for this mistake.

@SAMMCCONNELL you’re right, because everytime I check the buds I find one or two, but next season If I grow outdoors I’ll get some of that product. I’ve always grown in filtered or shaded light, this time I grew in full sun light, and these caterfukers were my only problem… but a big one.

@HAROKIDD1 thats a good question. and i dont think its a good idea myself to spray that soon to harvest. I would not spray with in a week myself. but..its ok because it evaporates away for the most part as soon as the sun hits it. it REALLY does not leave hardly anything behind after 24-36 hours or so.

This is a complete joke. Stachybotrys is no more dangerous than any other mold. The entire “toxic mold” issue has been demonstrated for DECADES to be a hoax, and “con-artist toxic mould” clean-up contractors are ripping people off.

Stachybotrys became a costly cleanup nightmare for me when I discovered that the non-paying tenants I evicted had grown Marijuana in their residence. This type of mold causes such a wide variety of health issues that residences where it is found to be airborne can actually be condemned! Now that it is legal to grow Marijuana for “medicinal purposes” in California, I worry about this becoming a more common problem for me. I’ve since modified my lease agreement and now enforce inspections.
