Question by : Is writing about Medical Marijuana a inappropriate current news subject to compose about in county school?
Nicely for my Public Speaking and English class in university we have to pick out a recent news post or event, and they mentioned to select something you are really interested in. If I was to compose about it properly, do you feel I would get a poor grade just because it really is “Marijuana”

No. College is generally far more open and receptive to all types of topics than high school is.
However, you better make sure you get your facts right, both for your grade, and in case anyone reading it is anti mj.
For example, simply claiming no one has ever died isnt going to get you an a, espeically if the prof is anti mj. If you use that stat, you need to explain fully what it means and what it doesnt mean, and you need to cite the source it comes from.
Youtube videos will not serve as sufficient sources to back up the claim that mairjuana cures cancer.
I also think you should mention marinol, its issues, and the hypocrasy bw gov orgs that support marinol but not marijuana. Another fav i like to talk about with med mj is that it makes you less high than the rx’es would. for example, they claim marinol has been reformulated to not produce a high, but not vicodin or morphine or oxy or any others. Marinol does still make you high, but its a different type of high.
