Query by Danny: In CA with Medical Marijuana card, where can i develop my clones by law? ?
I have a Medical Marijuana Recommendation card and can have up to 6 mature plants or twelve immature plants by CA state law.

My question is can i have them in plain sight, in a garden or in a garage? Or do they need to have to be locked up and out of sight? What is the law?

  1. You are correct that under California Health and Safety Code section 11362.77, a qualified patient “may also maintain no more than six mature or 12 immature marijuana plants.”

The law appears to be silent on how you may specifically grow it but common sense would prevail. If your neighbors complain, the police will show up. You wouldn’t be in any trouble but you should probably still avoid that situation. And of course, you want to prevent it from being stolen.
