He must not be inhaling and just wasting your pot. A blunt is enough to show up on a drug test. Regularity has nothing to do with it.

  2. Marc says:

Any amount that you take into your body can give you a positive test. The test looks for the active compounds of the drugs or the metabolites of the drugs.

The regularity or irregularity of use will not yield a different result. The tests are reliable and can be used in a court of law as evidence. If your friend quit for “a few weeks” that may have given his body a chance to “clean up” before his test.

If you aren’t a regular user, you can get away with this, although it’s very risky. Most drug tests are ‘positive’ when the THC in the urine is higher than 50ppm (parts per million). That means you don’t have to be totally ‘weed free’ to pass – this allows someone who’s experienced secondhand smoke to pass, as that’s not really fair. Government jobs require a stricter amount, usually 20ppm or lower. Metabolism, frequency you smoke, and amount smoked are all determining factors.

It doesn’t really have to do with how regularly you smoke it, it’s just about have that solid 72 hours after for it to completely clear your system. its also recommended to drink lots of water.
