@diamonds4rubies she didn’t give him alcohol. he was adopted by her and his mother drank alcohol through out her pregnancy. That is why she is so heartbroken because the last thing a true mother (adopted or biological) would want is to have her kid with some sort of disability. I think it took alot of guts for her to share her story to the world so a little more respect should be in order. Thank you.

@catzlemon I wonder what kind of guilt you must have. To know that a decision, and only a decision, caused permanent damage to an innocent child. To debilitate another human being, your child nonetheless, for life. Do you look back and think ’9 months of abstaining from the drink would have been hell for me (if you were/are an alcoholic), but at least I could have kept this helpless person inside of me safe’? 270 days of selflessness in return for a fully functioning child.

There should be legal repurcussions for women who drink while pregnant. After all if you gave a baby alcohol in a baby bottle, I’m sure this would be dire consequences. What’s the difference… evcept that the child is being fed alcohol while a developing embryo. It’s an absolute disgrace that these woman are willingly harming yheir children, who have no say in the matter whatsoever!!!

  13. thepsychicpebble says:

If you’re not responsible enough to NOT fucking drink whilst pregnant, don’t have a baby at all.

  14. Shukria123 says:

    I HATE alcohol.

@Newborn228 I’m FASD as well. I have ADHD, BP, Attachment Disorder, and social phobia. It sucks. I feel your pain because I’ve experienced it myself. I’m sorry you had to go through this, and still have to. This really hits close to home with me because I know the pain and anguish that life brings with this condition. Any time you need to talk message me, please.

  16. Slimyscaly48 says:

I live in a group home and have a roomate with FAS. I myself have Tourette’s Syndrome, OCD, and Asperger’s.

  17. Newborn228 says:

    I’m FASD.
    Apparently everything falls into FASD.
    Schizophrenia, Delusions, Depression, etc.
I guess because it makes other illnesses more prone.
But, I don’t think they should say it’s because of FASD.
Maybe you were already born with it, and it just took time for it to show?
I’m a foster, and my foster parent thinks that every difficulty I announce is from FASD.
I’m tired of it. I just want her to listen to me. Don’t give me sympathy, or getting some doctor else to indoctrinate me.
    I need help.

I’m not the least bit religious… but if there were such a thing as angels, they would be the people who adopt kids with FAS.

and mothers of children with FAS who drank during pregnancy should feel guilty about ruining their kid’s life

One thing I hope is that people will not judge. I see a lot of judgemental and immature comments on youtube.

My biological mother was the daughter of a Canadian commando that came home from WW2. He was an alcoholic and he beat up his wife. He killed her in the end and then blew his head off with a 9mm German Luger. He abused his daughters sexually, physically and phycologically. When we see someone messed up we should be asking ourselves how did that person get that way? I do not blame her.

  26. rosaryfilms says:

WilliamHBonney55, thank you for your comments. This above video series talks about a spectrum of disorders, which may range from very mild to severe — so it is possible that a person may have some mild symptons of FAS and not be aware it. Regards…

  27. WilliamHBonney55 says:

I want to thank you people for these videos.
I am an alcoholic. I am 42 years old and now I am starting to wonder if I have FAS? One of my half brothers is on disability because he has been diagnosed as FAS. My other twin half brother is going to get tested. We have the same mother and she was a server alcoholic. Me and my half brother had the same behavioral problems in school. We didn’t grow up together. The twins were given up for adoption. I have just started to get to know one of them.
