Question by answersensei: do you believe marijuana really should be created legal?
it is actually scientifically confirmed to be healthier for you than tobacco, and tobacco is legal so why should not marijuana? font just say yes or know, say why.

Marijuana is of beneift to those suffering MS, Glaucoma and some illness, so yes it should be made legal. Most MPs do it and are doing it. So why not joe public.
Yes, I have little problem with people doing foolish things to themselves as long as they know the dangers and I won’t be called on the rescue them from the consequences of their behavior at some later date.
I really have to point out though that pot isn’t “healthier” than tobacco. It may be less harmful, but that isn’t the same thing. And in any event, by itself that’s no justification.

That is not actually true. While there may be less risk of cancer and heart attack, the unhealthy aspects of marijuana are very different and much worse. It also affects “others” in a way that tobacco does not. People driving under the influence, and becoming addicted are a real hazard to a civil society.
People say, you can get “drunk” with alcohol, why should alcohol be legal? Well, most people who drink do not get “drunk” when they drink. They just enjoy a drink with dinner. However, the ONLY purpose of marijuana is to alter the mental state. I have treated mental patients whose brains were totally screwed by marijuana. Trust me we don’t need more mental patients, and we don’t need more car crashes.

ok course it should. the laws against marijuana are more damaging to a persons life than the marijuana itself will ever be. if you can hold a job and be a responsible person then why should someone step in and ruin your life because they dislike what you’re doing even though it has no negative effect on anyone else. doesnt make sense to me.

Illegal for a reason? Yes, it is. Go back and research why it was criminalized in the 1930s. You will see that the reason was because of a very racist campaign that targetted immigrants and blacks. I suppose you support that kind of racism??
And yes, its still illegal today for a reason. Lets talk about those reasons. How about the amount of money people make with it illegal? I wont go through the list, but… The fda and ama, the two sources who are really against even medical marijuana, both support synthetic thc. Marinol is a synthetic thc pill by rx, it is legal nation wide, available at any pharmacy, and some insurance will cover it, including public insurance like medicare and medicaid. Now lets talk about how much it costs. About 1500$ for a months supply that is about equal to 25-50$ of real marijuana in my area. That 1450$ per pop is a large reason for marijuana being illegal.
Fill it up with chemicals???? You need to talk to the tobacco companies about that. While it is possible to get marijuana laced with tobacco or oregeno, it is virtually impossible to get marijuana laced with anything else without your knowledge. Marijuana is the cheepest drug available. Anything you would add to it would at least double the price. If people are getting chemicals in their marijuana its because they choose to put it there themselves.
And besides, wouldnt legal marijuana solve that problem???
Marijuana is NOT chemically addictive. IT can become emotionally addictive, but so can every other activity that gives the person pleasure from gambling to watching tv to reading a book. Anyone gonna ban books?????
Driving while intoxicated…. I do NOT support that. I support completely sober drivers.
BUT, do you know studies are showing drivers under the influence of marijuana drive better than drivers who have been drinking but still under the legal driving limit??
Most people dont get drunk when drinking alcohol??? Ok, Ill give you that. But what about buzzed? What about feelin a lil tipsy?? If you can drink alcohol and NOT feel the effects of the alcohol at all, then you drink too much.
And the same is true of smoking pot. You can take a couple hits and feel a lil “tipsy” or you can use a lil more and be “buzzed” . Or you can smoke more and be stoned. Its no different than alcohol.
