Almost 100 neighborhood leaders from during Michigan discovered about the Michigan Health care Marihuana Act (March 26, 2010) at a Michigan Municipal League (MML) workshop in Lansing. The law’s been in effect given that December 2008 but queries still remain about how it will impact local governments.
Event speakers weighed the possible economic benefits of the Act with the discussion centering on the right to farm marijuana , dispensaries and zoning. Many communities this kind of as Garden City, Livonia, Niles and Roseville have currently created ordinances to deal with the law’s zoning and farming implications.
Workshop attendees—elected and appointed officials, public security officers and municipal attorneys—agreed the seminar was helpful.
